Weddings are the most important aspect of events planning, trust me when I tell you it has the singular power to either make or mar your reputation as an events personality, you are wondering why yes? Here are a few notes to take home.
1) Imagine satisfying the bride's parents and family, groom's parent and family, the couple themselves, the friends and even well wishers! of course it would have been a piece of cake if the all wanted or liked the same things!
2) Getting the right vendor at the right price, to deliver the right service at the right time..........kudos to fellow events managers (the job is anything but easy)
3) I realized from experience that an average client sees the events planner as a mini personal assistant that has been paid to help with any and every problem/issue either associated with the upcoming nuptials or not........hence the term baby sitter comes in P.S. we love our clients
4) coordination and general events management on the D day! if you can't manage crisis, trust me when I say this job is not for you, because the probability of having a minimum of 2 crisis to manage on the D day is 80:20
Personally, my slogan for events planners is "BE PREPARED"
